Overview
Nova Circle is a travel app built around one promise: recommendations you trust. I stepped in to lead it in March 2023 and took it from an early MVP to a finished platform. The recommendations come from its community.
My Role
Scope
Process
I led the redesign and worked with Abersoft on the build.
Decisions
One promise first
I set 'Recommendations you trust' as the promise to build around, then redesigned the UX, the UI and the brand identity.
The right partner for the build
We partnered with Abersoft for the Flutter front end, the Node.js back end and the AWS infrastructure.
Flows first, then polish
We reworked the user flows, the features and the performance, then spent a year on QA, feature tests and user feedback.
Stack
Outcome
Nova Circle launched on the App Store and Google Play in 2023.
Community as the product
A strong community needs more than a feed.
I shape the product, the experience and the technical direction that make a community worth coming back to.
